Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,

Really sorry to hear about your loss. But do not be overly concern. She can try for next pregnancy as soon as she is physically and emotionally ready for the same.

Miscarraiges are very common especially in first pregnancy. Almost 15% of women can miscarry. It is unfortunate that it happened twice, but we need to keep in mind that, if the fetal heart did not appear and it was an early miscarraige it could be that there was a chromosomal problem in the baby and that is why it did not continue.

You need not worry as these are relatively common. And nature's selection process makes only the fittest embryoes survive.

But it would be prudent to keep in mind a few things when your wife conceives again.

There is a 75% chance in her next pregnancy that it will continue till full term and you will have a healthy baby.

But if at all it also lands up in a miscarraige do send the abortus for laboratory evaluation for chromosomal problem and if found then both your and your wife' chromosomal analysis may also have to be done.

Folic acid is to be taken, atleast 5 mg per day till she conceives and even after that till 12 weeks.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
