Suggest Treatment Procedure For Non Obstructive Calculus In Kidneys

My 76 year old husband, white, just received a report that he has a 7.8 mm nonobstructive calculus in the mid calix of the right kidney and a 7.5mm nonobstructive calculus in the superior pole of the left kidney. How serious is this and what course of action should be taken?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Usually more than 6mm stones causing obstructive symptoms and it needs to be removed during course of life but sometimes it passes away in urine. But if the problem persists than different treatment options are available for it e.g. lithotripsy, percutaneous nephrolithatomy, cystourethroscopy, nephrolithatomy, or total nephrectomy if kidney is fully damage, But I will say it is a totally curable problem.
