General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. I am sorry for you sufferings for multiple problems at a time. Fibroiduterus -small fibroids which are not causing any symptoms , the policy of treatment is to wait & watch. many a times they resolve on their own/ remain asymptomatic. The fibroids which are creating symptoms/ causing sterility- can be removed by by blocking it's blood supply by intervention radiology under USG view. * Very big fibroid which is causing extream trouble need to be removed surgically. Can be accompanied by removal of uterus if patient has finished with child bearing. - You should go for USG/ CTscan to decide size of the fibroid, & decide of oi's removal with an expert gynecologist's advise. - Best anesthesia used to be selected by anesthetist. In your case they may prefer general anesthesia. Thanks.
