Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection

3 weeks ago my doctor found that I had a yeast infection, I didn't know this until I asked the doctor when I got back form vacation. I always have the urge to pee and most of the time it's not as much pee as I feel like I want to pee. It's only a few drops. I always feel like I have to pee and after rI have...I wait two more minutes and I feel like I need to go again. I used to feel this way when I have a UTI but than I took medication and it went away. When I found out I had a yeast infection I took Canest oral the pill on the first day and than I used the cream and I am still using it. It says to use it every day for 7 days. So it's the second day after I took the pill yesterday and I used the cream. But I still feel like I have to pee every minute! It's driving me crazy please help me understand what's happening. What should I do?? Should I wait for the Canest to work??

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Frequency and urgency of urinary sensation are not common symptoms with yeast infection. They are more common with Urinary tract infection or urethritis. There is a quite possibility for yeast infection to follow after an prolonged antibiotic therapy. It could be an associated or concomitant infection with UTI. Yeast infection also sometimes need 3-4 weeks treatment. sex partner has also to be treated. Diabetes has to be ruled out or to be under tight control to achieve a complete cure.
A relapse in Urinary tract infection or a reinfection possibility is to be ruled out.
