Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection

Hello, so im 19 and i just started having sex like 3 weeks ago. I just got off of my period 2 days ago and now im having some irritation. It reminds me of a yeast infection i had last year but this time there is this pink/red fleshlike clumps in the discharge and the discharge smells like baby breath. Im a little worried about it. I took a monistat 1 day last night and the irritation is subsidding a little. But i do want to know what this could possibly be...

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What symptoms you are describing of could be due to mixed (bacterial and fungal) vaginal infection and not just yeast infection alone.
What drug you have taken is fine for yeast infection and you can continue for 2 more days depending on the response.
Along with it, you need to take a course of tablet Metronidazole to overcome bacterial infection.
Also, wash the area with mild soap solution and keep it under proper hygiene.
Wear loose undergarment till the symptoms subside. Abstain from sexual activity till the infection subsidies completely.
