Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection Near Labia

I believe I may have a yeast infection. The right side of my labia has been itching on and off for a couple of days now. There is no odd discharge though, my main concern now is releiving the itching until morning when i can get medicine, but all i have is triple antibiotic ointment. Will it at least ease the itching for the night?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for your query.

I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.

Triple antibiotic cream will not address the itching. An anti-itch cream applied externally should provide relief quickly. These are available as over the counter medication and does not require prescription. If the itching is little intense you can consider using oral antihistamines.

If you do not have access to either of these, i advice you to wash the area with cool water and with mild soap.

Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that you have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.

Sincerely,
I find this answer helpful
