Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a small white lump on the roof of my mouth which has a black dot in the middle of it. I ve had it for just under 3 weeks. Week 1 it was a very hard lump, at the end of week 2 it had gone down slightly... Now at week 3 it is small but clearly visible.
As per your query you have lump at the roof of the mouth . Well there can be many reasons for lump at the roof of the mouth like mucocele , torus palatinus , Tooth abscess , irritation of mucosa , smoking and some times cancerous condition . I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , blood tets , biopsy and examine it physically . Doctor may further extend the course of antibiotics along with anti inflammatory drug , surgically remove it or in case of any malignancy he/she may recommend radiation therapy . Do not touch or press it . Get it examined properly once and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
