Hi May be i can give a few helping tips regarding weight loss in your child .Since you are a working mother you had planned it right in starting formula and breast feeds for your baby ,in anticipation of returning to work within 3 months.at 3 months usually a baby doubles his birthweight ,so he was about 3 kg at birth ,so weight gain velocity is good .a loss of 700 grams within 15 days taken on the same scale ,with normal losses in urine and stool mean lesser intake or lesser assimilation .The frequency of feeds may have become less .and now is the time for you to make sure that he takes formula @volume of about 150ml /kg so about a 900 ml of fluid/day .that is roughly 150ml /6 feeds or 120ml/8 feeds .Make sure that the concentration of formula is prepared correctly --that is 1 level scoop to 30 ml of water ,boiled and cooled .This will ensure his caloric intake --that is 20 cals in 30 ml .
its likely that you are away at work ,he misses his breast feeding and the bonding and may not be taking adequate feeds -----
if concentration and volume is maintained he will sure show a positive velocity again .
Since he is 4 months complete and not exclusively breast fed ,may start with 1 spoon of cereal once a day --rice cereal Nestum will be a good one to start with.Best of luck
