I have had watery diarrhea all day (at least 8-9) times. I have taken 1 dose of pepto, 2 doses of keopectate, and 2 Imodium tablets over the course of the day. The diarrhea is still consistent with no change in frequency or consistency. What should I do?
Hello dear I understand your concern Most common cause of the watery diarrhoea is viral aetiology. It will goes off in the 3-5 days. Other cause are bacteria and parasite. I advise to take following advises for first 3-4 days: Main aim is the maintain hydration and take rest. Diet: rice, banana and ORS. Take boiled rice with added lemon and salt. Diarrhea due to virus will goes in the 3-5 days. Tablet Vabact-DS.
If not resolves in the 3-4 days then consult the physician and go for stool microscopy, and culture to identify the causative organism Tablet ciplox-oz wil helpful Hope this may help you
