Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 14yr. old daughter has been vomiting for over three weeks now she seemed to get better for about five days and then told me she was getting sick again.she has had no fever and the vomiting has nothing to do with food intake she can have dry heaves and has she is hungry and during those few days that she wasn t throwing up she was very hungry, she has a sore throat and headache also but I am concerned about the amount of time she has been sick.I took her to the doctor about ten days ago and they did blood work and urine sample he said they both came back fine I have been feeding her soft foods and soup and am making sure that she stays hydrated.she wakes in the night to throw up I have watched her be sick and it is not intentional she cryed last night that she was tired of being sick. She has not started her menses and has never had sex.she has had kidney surgery when she was 6mo. old I am her grandmother and we have adopted her, her mother took meth when she was pregnant and Makayla has suffered the consquences. She is adhd and is also bi polar and takes meds for that.she takes depokote for the bipolar and anfetimenes for adhd,we have her in private school because she is so far behind in her studies.the kidney surgery she had was because it didn t form properly she has 30% on the left kidney. she has had loose stools but at present has to strain to move her bowels.I do have a doctors appt. today but am wondering if she should have xrays or a particular test thank you for your help.
