Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Gripping Stomach Ache
Hello, My wife and I ate dinner out tonight. She ate a prawn salad. Since three hours after the meal she has been vomiting and has griping stomach pains but no diaorhea. This has continued for approximately 4 hours now and she has vomited about ten times. She is cold rather than running a temperature. It is 3.50 in the morning. She is 76 years old, should I call an ambulance ?
Hi, From history it seems that she might be having food poisoning and now might have developed dehydration as she developed cold extremities. She might require IV fluids so it is better to call ambulance and get her admitted. Meanwhile give her medicine for vomiting and give plenty of water, electrolytes and ORS liquids if she consumes. Ok and take care.
