Suggest Treatment For Viral Fever With Body Pain

My fever just subsided. It was perhaps viral. I am still taking Augumentin ( Co-amoxiclave) and one more day to go to complete five days course. During fever there was intense body ache which is hugely persisting in my lower legs; not letting me sleep. What to do sir?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having viral fever with body pain which is due to poor immunity and increased susceptibility of body and making prone to getting infected. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take proper antiviral medication course such as Acyclovir in combination with Ibuprofen/ Acetaminophen. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. Do tepid sponging for immediate relief as you having high degree fever. Visit general physician once and get it examined. You should take proper rest as body pain is due to viral fever. You should get routine blood test done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Normally viral fever take 7-10 days duration to get recovered.
