Suggest Treatment For Varicose Veins

i have had veicose veins for several years , hey are quite big , but lately they are causing discomfort and at present there are areas that a swollen and red if i sit with my feet up it herts to walk after wards should i be getting medical attention

I read your question and I understand your concern.

I believe medical attention. There are several management methods. Conservative management includes compression stockings, anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen or aspirin, topical gels and cream etc.
However if they are as developed as you describe them to be it is probable that invasive measures like schlerotherapy, laser treatment or the more traditional surgery to remove them might be necessary. It is a fairly routine procedure not to panic.
To determine the strategy medical evaluation is necessary first though.
