Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Yeast Infection

I have all the symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection. I have a doctors appointment later on today, however I was just wondering if they are able to diagnose this with what I tell them, or will they have do do an examination? i.e - swab or urine test etc? I'm just so embarassed.

Hello,

Treatment for vaginal yeast infection include anti fungal medications like cream, ointment or tablet.

Your doctor will examine your vagina for signs of infection and may collect a sample of vaginal discharge for examination but for uncomplicated infection will probably not.

Frequent symptoms of yeast infection include:
change of vaginal discharge,
itching, burning,
pain during sex.

To reduce risk of vaginal yeast infection try to avoid douching, change wet clothes, wear cotton underwear.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
