Hi, after wearing some dry weave sanitary napkins recently i have developed a serious case of vaginal itching and burning, could you tell me what would be the best cream to use at this time? I was recently using nizoral but that was one that I had at home a long time and it's been a week and the itching is still there especially at night
For sanitary napkin related vaginal itching and burning, you can follow this:
1) Vaginal suppository or cream like combined Clotrimazole and Clindamycin can be taken for 3-5 days at bed time.
2) Wear only cotton clothes. Don't wear any tight fitting cloths or pants to avoid repeated friction/ irritation. Take sound sleep adequately.
3) Take healthy diet as you have mentioned with anti oxidant (like Vitamin -E or C, Selenium, Zinc etc) supplements. Drink plenty of water or juice for better systemic circulation. You must avoid salty, sugary or fatty foods.
4) Avoid chemical cosmetics, perfume or scented bath products around genital area. Keep the area mostly dry. You also avoid unprotected sexual intercourse along with chemical lubricant until your problem is resolved completely.
Good luck.
