Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Bleeding And Pelvic Pain Caused By Uterine Fibroids
Hi I am a 45 year old female with heavy bleeding and pelvic pain I have had an ultrasound and the findings are uterus measures 13.0x6.3x9.3 cm, heterogeneous with multiple fibroids. Endometrial stripe is thicker, 1.4 cm largest fibroid measuring 4.6cm left posterior fundal/body region submusocal and 2.1 cm right anterior uterine body subserol fibroid and 3.3 right uterine fundal intramural fibroid. right ovary measures 5.6 x 4.4x 4.5 cm with a simple appearing 4.1 cm cyst left ovary measures 2.4 x 1.9 x 2.2 cm. My doctor has scheduled me for a endometrial biopsy three weeks from now. This is my first time seeing this doctor because my doctor retired and I just think I need to have the procedure sooner and I think because the fibroids are causing the bleeding and pain I feel I should have something done about that before I have the other procedure. I just can t take the bleeding and pain any longer. Should I get a second opinion?
Hi The fibroids are symptomatic and something needs to be done immediately. I advise you see a Gynecologist immediately so that your condition can be better managed. If he can not handle it medically, then a surgical management should be considered. Best regards
