Suggest Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection

Hello sir, m 22yrs old girl,residing in a hostel frm the past 2 yrs..i took my urinal analysis..as i was flng less severe fvr for sm time also bodyache,reductn in stamina..symptoms of vomiting. In my report there are 20-25 pus cells. Kindly suggest me the right way to treat it

Hello, thanks for posting on HCM.
From the urine reports as you mentioned you have got urinary tract infection for which you will need to take antibiotic course.
It is very important to find the causative agent for the infection. A urine culture would find out the causative bacteria causing infection so that it can be treated appropriately.
If any patient presents to me with these symptoms I would have started him with levofloxacin 500mg once a day tablet to be taken after food to be taken for 5 days to 7 days. But it’s important to find out the bacteria based on culture report so as to treat effectively.
Other advises would be to take plenty of fluids to flush out the bacteria and pus forming in urinary tract. If there is fever more than 100 degrees you might need some antipyretic like paracetamol to keep the temperature down.
