Suggest Treatment For Urinary Infection In Babies

Sir, My baby girl aged 1 year and 2 months had cold and congestion, as per the doctors advise we tested her urine and it found that she has pus cell as 9-12 hpf. Is it problem for her. What can do as a remedy. please advise me. we have too much tension. pls help us by giving proper advises

First of all do not take tension, as it is not something serious to worry about.
Yes pus cells above 5 hpf in properly collected urine sample indicate urine infection.
I would treat my patient with 7 day course of cefixime or cefixime and ofloxacin combination, along with plenty of oral fluids.
Dose to be discuss with your doctor according to weight.
Hope she will be better soon.
