Suggest Treatment For Urinary Incontinence

My son is 24 has sudden incontinence. At u/s he had 800 cc s of urine and didn t feel he had to go. After he voided they repeated the u/s and he still had 500 cc s in him. The urologist is suggesting daily catherization. He has PKD and sryngomylia. The vascular neurosurgeon does not believe the srynx is the cause. The u/s also revealed a pouch on the bladder (diverticulum). There must be some other tests or ways to resolve this than catherization he is so young?

This is the most effective way of emptying the bladder effectively. He needs a cystogram (to determine bladder anatomy) and a urodynamic evaluation (to assess bladder and sphincter function).
