Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .Your husband who has undergone radiation therapy for cancer of the prostate 4 years ago is having difficulty in passing urine .urgency.and spraying of stream .

All these symptoms are due to Post Radiation Urethral Stenosis.

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3)Serum PSA.
4) Endoscopic examination of bladder and dilatation of urethra (If required).

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
