Suggest Treatment For Unsuccessful Abortion

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Hi, We got married on 22nd Nov 2010. Somehow we forget to take precaution and she got pregnent. We had visited to one small hospital where gynacologist gave her MTP pill after seeing her scanning report on 1st Jan 2011. Her last period date was 16th Nov. After taking medicine she had bleeding for one day (used 4 pads) , But she is still pregnent which we found in today morning (test performed at home by pregnency test kit). Could you please suggest whether she can still take other MTP or something else. Kindly suggest...

Understand your concern
Pregnancy test will become negative after 10-12 days from the started abortion pill. If you did pregnancy pill before 10-12 days (can not clear form your history), it will come positive.
Normally bleeding and abortion process will complete in 4-6 days after taking pills. Advice to repeat the test after 10-12 days. But exact confirmation of abortion process will detect by USG scan, so go for USG scan after 14 days.
If incomplete abortion will detect, it can be treated by extra dose of misoprostol by gynecologist or by surgical process like D & C.
