Suggest Treatment For Uncontrolled Blood Sugar Levels

I am taking norethisterone and buserelin and have type 1 diabetes on an insulin pump. Since taking both of these (4 days and 2 days respectively) my blood sugars have increased drastically 16-20mmol and am struggling to keep them under control. Is this a possible side effect and if so of which drug or is it just a coincidence?

Hello,
if 16-20 mmol is the fasting blood glucose then this is a very high blood sugar value. Are you sure you're doing everything else right? Blood sugar control has a lot to do with food and physical activity, as you should probably know.
Both drugs may cause higher blood sugars particularly buserelin. Since you're using insulin you should gradually increase the dose and check the blood sugar regularly. You should increase both the basal insulin dosage and the bolus dosage as well remembering to administer at least 50% as basal insulin.
I hope I've helped!
If you have more questions on this subject, please ask again. I'll be glad to answer.
Kind Regards!
