sir my son is 2years old. he got unconscious after having a fever when he was six months old.one day before the attack he got fever after that i started giving pcm after Dr advise. in the morning he suffered the unconsciousness for three minutes approximately by the time we reach to the hospital he recovered from that. on the same day after three hours he again get sudden fever and got unconscious. there after the Dr advice us to give him clobazom when ever he got fever. the blood culture test comes positive. there after the Dr given amoxycilin antibiotic. after one year he was suffering from cold and cough and after two or three days he got again unconscious for few minutes at that time his eyeball are moving up and down. we rushed to the neuro dr.he performed eeg test which shows normal report. he prescribed epilex 2.5 ml two times daily for three years. after three month the dr given test of LFTtest.which he was saying that it is normal.i just want to know that weather my child is getting proper treatment or not. i will be very grateful to you sir.ols give me any advice

EEG also has been done and reported normal.Also as the child is having repeated episodes so started on phenytoin and liver function is also normal. Only thing which was not done was cerebrospinal fluid examination initially to rule out meningitis. Otherwise the treatment is on the right track.

Hi..This looks as a case of febrile convulsions. The treatment of the child is satisfactory. Initially he was given paracetamol during fever followed by clobazam prophylaxis. EEG also has been done and reported normal.Also as the child is having repeated episodes so started on phenytoin and liver function is also normal. Only thing which was not done was cerebrospinal fluid examination initially to rule out meningitis. Otherwise the treatment is on the right track.
