Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain the ulcer over the tongue caused by
tongue bite is a Traumatic ulcer and in case if you bite continuously then the ulcer will not heal and inflammation will keep on increasing..
For this along with application of numbing gel apply a steroid oral paste over the ulcer and take a
multivitamin tablet daily..
Do warm saline gargles..
You should
consult a dentist and get evaluated and for teeth grinding habit he can advise you and get a Mouth guard fabricated that will prevent teeth grinding as well as tongue bite..
The other part of the problem is pain radiating to ear can be due to complications occurring with the jaw joint due to a teeth grinding habit and the condition is known as Temporomandibular joint disorder which can be due to
muscle fatigue or disorder related to articular disc which is a soft cushion present between the bony ends of the jaw joint...
For this consult an Oral Physician and get an
ORTHOPANTOMOGRAM done so that the confirmatory diagnosis can be made and treatment can be planned..
As of now take
muscle relaxant containing Chlorzoxasone and anti-inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen.
Warm or cold compresses over the jaw and face can help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
