Suggest Treatment For Tiredness, body Pain ,headache And Cold

Hi, I recently (5 days) got home form the Caribbean coast of Mexico. I was bitten several times but dont know what by. I have developed what I assume is a cold, as I have a slight fever, headache, aches, tiredness and the odd sneeze. Someone mentioned (jokingly) that they hoped it wasnt Malaria. I have checked and the data I can find say that area of Mexico is a low risk and to be honest I would feel a bit silly going to my doctor with a cold!! What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thank you for asking!
If you have travelled recently and you believe that some thing has bitten you then the symptoms of headaches, lethargy, fatigue and nasal troubles need to be evaluated. COuld be a simple climate change response of the body or can be some infection.Too early to comment.Get to an infectious disease specialist and let them decide what is best for you. There is no silliness in visiting a doc for the troubles you feel.If it comes up innocuous you will be relieved.
take care
