Suggest Treatment For Tingling And Numbness In Body?

Greetings doctor, for the past 3 months I ve been having muscle spasms, tingling, numbness, weakness, sensations of pins and needles all over my body, mostly in my arms and legs, I ve had difficulty breathing, and two panic attacks. Sometimes I can hardly walk, when I walk down stairs my legs hurt, recently I ve become stiff and my joints have been cracking a lot,(knuckles, fingers, toes, shoulders, knees, neck, back) I ve had a history of back and neck pain and also I ve had bowel trouble for about 3 years, I m a male and 19 years of age, I live in south america and I ve seen a doctor and have had many blood tests those of which all returned normal, ct scan normal, cat scan normal, only thing abnormal that was discovered was that my muscle enzymes were high. Doctor Im praying that I m not a victim of ALS, I don t mind having anything else but I need someone to confirm that I m not an ALS victim. Please help me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
ALS is a genetic problem, do u have a family history of ALS ? Indeed raised muscle enzymes occur due to muscle damage, CPK 3 / CPK MM is more specific for skeletal muscles. Your symptoms are all related to joints and muscles with overlay of panic attacks. With all investigations being normal, some amount of psychosomatic element is natural. If u have a family history and the CPK 3 is raised review with a Neurologist is essential, who may advise Electromyography and nerve conduction studies to prove the diagnosis. In the interim do meet a psychiatrist to help u overcome stress, a mild tranquiliser like Diazepam 5 mgm daily would be helpful in the interim.
