Suggest Treatment For Tightness In The Abdomen , Nausea And Metallic Taste In The Mouth

Having terrible tightness in my abdomen, nausea, and unbearable metallic taste in my mouth. What s going on? The metallic taste seems to have been happening since I had a copper IUD inserted 9 months ago, with the occasional stomach tightness; but now it s debilitatingly worse. I am laying down right now because it s so bad. I had to force myself to eat earlier because that taste in my mouth is so bad. Please help.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of having bad metallic taste in mouth since you have been put IUD 9 months ago and this forces you to ear early.
If this is so, the best way is to take the IUD out and see the difference over the next weeks whether its removal helped you to have improved taste.
Your another concerns are tightness in the abdomen, and nausea.
This can be due to sub-clinical intestinal infection or so.
I would advise you the following:
Get your stool checked on three consecutive days.
Ultrasonography and upper GI Endoscopy and other relevant tests to see the reasons for the symptoms and get treated accordingly.
A 5 day course of an antibiotic, probiotic may help resolve the issues.
