Suggest Treatment For Tibia Fracture Caused Due To A Injury

I had an injury about 10 weeks ago (hyper extension of the knee after landing on one leg whilst playing football), the doctor at A&E told me that I hadn't broken a bone so didn't need an X-ray. Fast forward 9 weeks and MRI Scan has shown that I actually had a tibia plateau fracture! As a PE teacher I have been on my feet non stop for 7 weeks (2weeks off after injury). The fracture was described as 'uncomplicated' but am still feeling discomfort and pain. Any advice?
