Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain

Last night I drank some water, I am unsure what happened but I began to choke on my water. Afterwards my throat began to hurt, I tried clearing my throat but it did not help. About 30 minutes later I began coughing and I have been coughing ever since. I have a pain in the middle of my chest and it is beginning to move to the left of my chest and I find this pretty uncomfortable. I have been taking small sips of water to help with my throat but it only seems to make me cough and worsen the pain in my chest.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your concerns.
Choking on water and pain in the left side of the chest indicates an EKG must be done immediately,
Once it is normal further tests can be done to see for the results like ENT endoscopy to see what the problem is like.
It is possibly by the laryngospasm one gets, causing both the problems.
Till you see a Doctor stop taking anything orally.
