my throat has been hurting for almost two weeks now and this morning I woke up with pain on the left side of the roof of my mouth behind my molar and going towards the middle, every time I was swallow it hurts and any kind of pressure and its hard on the side behind my last tooth. is this an infection of somesort? should I go to the doctor or the dentist??
I read the query and i understood your concerns. It seems like a former throat infection has been complicated to your inner tissues of your mouth and around your teeth. I suggest you to see a dentist to check your teeth up and to do the proper examinations. He may prescribe you antibiotics for a period of time and to treat infection and then to fix the problem if exists any. If your throat continues hurting and gives you fever take Augmentin orally twice a day.
Take care and best wishes. Dr Eriol.
