Suggest Treatment For Throat Infection And Tonsillitis

Hello doctor, i am 23 year old man! I frequently get throat infections and tonsilitis! Just a week back i went to Sahyadri hospital and they prescribed me Azee 500mg with Grilinctus BM cough syrup for 3 days! After the symptoms persisted they told me to continue same medication for 3 days more! Still i get cough and i throw mucus and my throat is irritating me! Is there anything else i can take to stop coughing and throwing mucus and cure my throat infection!

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain the medications advised to you like Azee containing Azithromycin and Grillinictus BM cough syrup are appropriate medications and you need not to worry as it is just 3 days so it is better to continue the same for 3 more days..
You should also suck throat lozenges, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations an use a humidifier in your room..
You can chew Vitamin C pellets..
Take Ibuprofen for throat pain and inflammation..
You can also take benadryl or levocetrizine to relieve cough..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods and drink plenty of warm fluids..
In case if still there is no relief consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated..
