Suggest Treatment For Thick Green Nasal Discharge In A Child
My 6 year old daughter is suffering from thick green mucus discharge from nose for long time.... Kind of a year. The only time she was okay in between was when she went to kashmir. She is a beta thalessmia minor and a recent sinus x ray shown to doctor revealed to him thAt she has a sinus allergy. He has prescribed her a three month course of Montair lc kid. I gave her the medicine for 10 days but cant see any improvement.have discontinued it as i feel it makes her feel sleepy.... What should i do? Can you help please.

By what you quote i feel she might be having a bacterial rhinosinusitis. Your doctor was right she will require and anti-allergic and Monteleukast and along with it antibiotic too for atleast 10 days - Preferably Amoxycillin Clavulenate.
