Suggest Treatment For The Pain Caused Due To A Ruptured Ovarian Cyst

Hi, my girlfriend is experiencing extreme pain after an ovarian cysts rapture. It s been three week since we were in the ER. The doctor prescribe her morphine but it s only making her feel a little better for a while. The morphine is not curing it. What should we or her do?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best for her to go back either to the ER or to her doctor for a review.

The pain should not be persisting at a severe level after 3 weeks. There should be some improvement seen by this point.

This may indicate that the rupture has not resolved or there are additional complications such as infection.

She needs a repeat ultrasound and treatment based on this result as soon as possible.

I hope this helps
