I had what seemed to be a dry patch of skin on my forehead for about a month. I decided to very lightly scratch it off, and it came off easily but the skin beneath is very red agitated and has pinpoints of blood. I don t feel like I scratched nearly hard enough to cause that, do you think I should be concerned?
Hi. As per your case history of dry skin, my treatment advice is - 1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30. 2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it. 3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months. 4. Other treatment options are oral multivitamins, topical steroid cream given only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
