Suggest Treatment For The Chest Infection

My son is very ill and has been diagnosed with a chest infection, he has been like this for months but lately he is vomiting at least once a week, high temperatures and is extremly lethargic. He has had no tests or anything from the doctor and I am concerned. Can you help?

Hi thanks for asking question.
First of all do chest x ray along with complete blood examination.

If pneumonia like infection present then consolidation seen.
In tuberculosis cavitory lesion seen.
Chest x ray might reveal prominent vascular marking in bronchitis like case.

If complete blood count show high neutrophilia bacterial infection might be cause and antibiotic needed for adequate duration and dose.
If lymphocytes more then viral infection and symptomatic management done.

Meanwhile pulmonary function test also helpful in differentiating restrictive and obstructive disease.

So according to cause treatment given.
If no positive finding in x ray then simple rhinitis or sinusitis may be cause and treated symptomatically with prophylactic antibiotic.
I hope my suggestion will helpful to you.
