Suggest Treatment For Tension Headaches

i have tension headaches but they don t seem to be going away (i have had them for 3 days now). i am perfectly ok i can run do physical activity with no problems but the tension just wont go away. i have tried sleeping for several hours and it still wont help

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Tension type headaches are usually treated with over the counter painkillers like Ibuprofen which usually have good efficacy. Also stress relaxation techniques are helpful. If the pain is frequently recurrent or persistent preventive treatment with tricyclic antidepressants is used like amitriptyline.
Of course that is assuming your self diagnosis is right. If the pain is persistent you should have an evaluation for other possible factors like high blood pressure, sinusitis etc.
