Suggest Treatment For Tendonitis

Last week I went to see my family physician because I couldn t move my neck to the left side . I did cervical X-ray and right shoulder ultrasound . The result was I have tendonitis which I m certain I have because I had an X-ray also last year of May 2013 showing tendonitis. This time it showed also C1 disc degeneration . I wanted MRI but the doctor said it isn t so bad not unless I couldn t move my arm . He prescribed Celebrex once a day for 12 days . I don t feel pain yet but I feel numbness and sensations down my legs . Today , I bent down and I felt electric on my left shoulder. I m still able to move my neck only stiff when I bend to the right side . I went to see a different doctor and said it might be a tear of my trapezius muscle or myalgia but he can t make a diagnosis unless he sees my X-ray report. Now , I m afraid to move my neck . When I use my right arm the right side of my neck gets stiff right away. I don t know what to do . Besides from that I see little brown lines in my nails once in a while . I had blood test (Uric acid, creatinine, sugar ,B12, rheumatoid factor, hep B and C , Hiv , syphilis etc)done last week and it came normal . What should I do ?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Tendinitis give localised pain and NSAIDs like ketoprofen orally and local gel helps. But if not getting relief then local injection of corticosteroids or anesthetic will be helpful. Cervical intervertebral disc degeneration also gives the symptoms like you mentioned. In such case NSAIDs and muscle relaxants like cyclobenzaprine will be helpful. Soft cervical collar for short period followed by physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercises will help you recover from this totally. A consultation with an orthopedic surgeon is well appreciated for that.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
