Suggest Treatment For Tear On Foreskin Due To Tightness

Hello, I am a 23 yo healthy type 1 diabetic. I presented with chronic phimosis about six months ago. I was told it was most caused by a yeast infection and prescribed appropriate treatment. However the cream does not work and my foreskin is beginning to tear due to the tightening. I follow a strict cleaning regiment so I am 100% it is not due to hygiene. I am also in a committed relationship with both of us being screened every few months for STIs as well as yeast infections as my partner was aware that I could be reinfected with a yeast infection through her without her displaying any symptoms. Basically, I want to know would route I would have to take to discuss circumcision as oral antibiotics leave me more at risk of developing addition yeast infections and with an already compromised immune system I am concerned about the small tears in my foreskin becoming infected and having to fight them as well. My local GP just seems to fob me off as someone who doesn t know what their talking about however having read published articles concerning chronic and long term phimosis and the heightened risk of penile cancer I believe my concern abd frustration over lack of action is justifiable. Thanks.

Thanks for your question. Is your blood sugar under control?
If yes then you can consult a surgeon to undergo circumcision. It's a very low risk surgery and can be done under local anaesthesia.

But before planning surgery local infection if any should be treated. The chances of developing penile cancer due to long standing phimosis is very minimal. But definitely it's one of the causes. Sometimes paraphimosis a complication of phimosis can occur, which is an emergency condition. Hope this helps. Have a nice day.
