Suggest Treatment For Tachycardia

Hello, Im a 27 year old female. My symptoms started about 1 month ago. I used to be (1month ago) a smoker of rolled cigs (5-7 a day) + I was also smoking cannabis (2 months ago for 5 ys) 0,2 gs per day approx., a habbit I came to cease completely after I had experienced a panic attack while singing. It would anyway stress me instead of relaxing me throughout the last year of use. Following that incidence I came to realize that coffee drinking would cause me tachycardia as well as cigarette smoking ( though not so bad as coffee) and I would turn easily stressed out. Second panic attack came in after I have had spicy food which caused me tachicardia which in turn triggered panic, although I never had issues with spicy foods. Today I get easily stressed, experience tachicardias and sometimes arhythmias especially when stressed, drinking coffee orsmoking cigs. Visited cardiologist who took tests on me and found that my heart goes from 65bpm to 90 just by getting up from bed. Now im waiting for 24hr holter test results. Kindly asking for your opinion.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
The problem with sudden increase in your heart rate (tachycardia) is as a result of habits you had in the past. Smoking, Cannabis, Coffee are all central nervous system stimulants. Although they give temporary relief initially, they are habit forming and could result in serious adverse effect on heart and circulatory system.
Kindly wait for the test results. In case it does not show any pathological variation, your symptoms can be controlled by your will power and adopting to good habits.
You need to quit consumption of all the items first. Then practice meditation, which would keep your mind healthy and will help to keep your vitals under control. Take care to carefully follow the advise given by your doctor.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
