Suggest Treatment For Swollen Tonsils

Hi my daughter was diagnosed w/ tonsillitis. She was not symptomatic but was very clingy and knew something was wrong so I looked at the back of her throat and her left tonsil was huge. She was put on antibiotic since and the swelling hasn't gone down. She has been on antibiotics since last Monday. Should I worry??? She is 2 y/o.

Hi
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
Tonsil swelling might take a longer time even after the infection has been treated.
No need to worry if there is no fever and she is active
Ensure she drinks plenty of warm liquids
Wishing your child speedy recovery
Regards
Dr Arun
