Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Nodes After Tooth Extraction

My boyfriend just had his 4 wisdom teeth extracted plus 2 molars. The same day we got into an argument that was pretty intense. Not too long after he noticed a rash on his upper leg more around the thigh and backside area. He also had a lump like a lymph node was swollen. He says it's very painful and it looks awful. We just want to know what it is that's happening. He's going to see a doctor tomorrow but we are looking for any information. Thank you.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain rashes and swollen lymph nodes post extraction seems to be most probably due to post operative medication that must be given to him..
It is most likely to be due to antibiotics as antibiotics can present allergic reaction in the form of rashes and swollen lymph nodes can be due to inflammation caused secondary to extraction or can be due to allergic reaction too..

I would suggest you to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and they can advise you antihistamines like benadryl or allegra along with topical steroid application..
Do cool compresses over the rashes and the swollen lymph nodes....
Take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to relieve pain..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
