Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck

Hi, I m 28 yrs. old and a mom of three. I had my last child in 2010 and had the eesure procedure done. A month later I lost 20lbs and have yet to gain it back since then. My lymph nodes in my neck stayed swollen even after antibiotics. My ENT doc took out one in the right side of my neck three years ago it came back negative. The ct scan was done they could see enlarged nodes but without the dye wasn t sure which one was not working so they took out the biggest. Its going on five yrs. and I m having to get all my teeth pulled due to infection that keeps spreading in my gums, and I still have swollen lymph nodes, cant gain weight, and stay fatigued or sick with allergies/ colds. I also keep small fevers and headaches and stiff neck. Every Doctor ive seen throws me on antibiotics and tells me my problem is my teeth. I don t understand when my teeth was good till my weight loss.

Hi
Thanks for your query.
I can understand the multiple problems you are going through and you want to correlate the weight loss, bad teeth, gum infection, lymph nodes, fatigue and all.
I would advise you in such a situation the following:
- Since the swellings are lymph nodes , you can get multiple FNACs of all the palpable lymph nodes and see the results.
- Once the report is there as if it shows that all are reactive hyperplasia , the only solution to your problem is steroids in tapering dosages over 3 weeks and see the results, it is possible that all your symptoms of fatigue, fever and others will just get corrected.
I find this answer helpful
