Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node Behind Right Ear

Hi, I have a painful swollen lymph node behind my right ear. It was been over a week, and I am not sick. I do have ulcerative colitis, not sure if that can cause this. I am wondering if I should give it more time before seeing a doctor, as quite often time is the answer??

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

The cause of swollen lymph node behind your right ear would probably be any inflammation or infection in your ear or scalp.

It would be advisable to consult an Otolaryngologist doctor for the examination.

It is not due to Ulcerative Colitis( it is an inflammatory disease affecting your large intestine and rectum).

Hope this answers your question.Take care.
