Suggest Treatment For Swollen Gland In Neck

hello....my left gland on my neck seems abit swollen. There doesn't seem to be a lump. I've had a dry cough for 3 months now so the dr put me on antibiotics and is scheduling me for an ultrasound. Does he need to do any other tests and what does swollen glands mean?

Hello
Based on your query
1. Swelling in the neck is most often caused by lymph node enlargement secondary to infections in the head and neck
2. If it is long standing and multiple swelling is present then you will have to rule out Lymphoproliferative disorders.
3. Other possibility is skin infection.
4. You can get a FNAC done to find the cause of the swelling.
