Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed at a hospital for having an ovarian cysts for the past couple of months but now it has swollen my fallopian tubes. I went to a health department & they are saying I have chlamydia, is that possible for the hispitals to tell me i am negative of stds 3 days after i left the hospital ?
Hello, Welcome to hcm, Swollen fallopian tubes indicates either it's infection or sometimes blood or even accumulation of fluid can also cause swelling. Infection could be because of many organisms most commonly it's chlamydia or gonorrhoea. Sometimes test for chlamydia will be inconclusive. I advise you to take a course of antibiotics. You and your partner both should be treated if it's chlamydia. You can get elisa test for confirmation.
Thank you
