Suggest Treatment For Swollen Blood Clot At Ankle

I just read the 10 signs of a possible blood clot. I have many of these signs and the area that is swollen is in particular on one ankle (although both are swollen) and the red area is just above the ankle. It is warm to the touch. Do I need to be really, really concerned or can it wait until tomorrow when I can try to get into my doctor?

Thanks for consulting. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

you must be referring to deep vein thrombosis i guess. just swollen ankle which is warm does not suggest DVT. there must be pain on waking which need you to take some rest, the skin should be shiny and loss of hair must be there. if these sign are also present do consult a surgeon or vascular surgeon.
he will take Doppler study of your leg to confirm. based on which the treatment can be started.

Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.

Have a wonderful time ahead.

Best Regards!
