Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Thumb
I have bruising to my right thumb nail . the entire thumb is now swollen, VERY tender to the touch. even typing this question is difficult because of the pain. About 3-4 times during the past two days I will also feel sharp pain through my entire thumb. Keeps me up at night. Normally I wouldn t ask about bruising; but I believe the cause of the bruising is from the removal of a gel nail. I want to be sure I don t have an underlying problem, infection, or a problem caused by the previous gel nail being on. Linda

I really appreciate your concern, chances of infection would be more likely,, if this is too painful then it is the induration, inflammation, could be the cause of pain, it is better to see the surgeon till then you can have Tab Acetaminophen with Ibuprofen three times in day hope this information helps.
