Firstly you have to consult retina surgeon for examination and advice for further management. As you have given the history,at this stage cortisone injection is the only option left.It will also decrease the swelling. For this purpose you have to constantly monitor the retinal condition & the progress of subsiding swelling. You have not given the visual status of the eye.If not available now you can record it & subsiquently the progress can be judged by recording the vision. You should also record the field of vision and measure the intra occular tension. They will be para metered to observe the progress.
