Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Finger After Injury
This is about my friend daughter. She in cheer leaders and during practice and someone fell on her hand and bend her thumb back. Her hand is swollen near her thumb. How should this be treated, do she need to go to emergency room? Please advise! Thank you

According to your complain there is swelling at thumb area after injury . Take one X ray of thumb so any bony facture can detected in X ray.
Consent a physician for further diagnosis.
Muscle straining also cause pain. Proper physical examination give exact idea.
