Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi , I'm Dr Suresh K Yadav M D (paediatrics) have gone through your question and understand your concerns,

Swelling and redness is common after childhood vaccines specially DPT and persists usually for 2- 3 days . If swellings is increasing , infection of injection site needs to be ruled out. Meanwhile for redness and swelling you can use paracetamol, but if 3 days have passed , do consultant your health care provider to rule out ant infection and need of oral antibiotics.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Take care.
Thanks.
